The Norwegian was at his brilliant best during that exhilarating defeat of our city rivals, being at the centre of all but City’s opener.

The No.9 scored our second and third, before teeing up Phil Foden for the fourth, turning home the fifth and again being the provider for Foden to set the seal.

Mahrez is nominated for two goals and an assist to help overturn City’s 2-0 deficit at half time in the January meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues needed a huge second 45 after late goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal in the first period.

The Algerian was at the heart of the comeback, playing a pivotal role in the first two goals, getting his assist for the second.

Then it was up to him to give us the victory, firstly with a right-footed effort through Hugo Lloris’ legs and then with a delicate chip over the onrushing France international.

The City pair are up against Everton’s Jordan Pickford, Tottenham’s Son Heung-min and Rodrigo Bentancur and Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson.
