Haaland has been nominated alongside Sven Botman (Newcastle United), Moises Caicedo (Brighton & Hove Albion), Alexander Isak (Newcastle United) , Alexis Mac Allister (Brighton & Hove Albion), Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal), Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) and Bukayo Saka (Arsenal).
The City forward has featured in 33 top-flight games, winning 25, drawing four and losing four. Within those, Haaland has scored a record-breaking 36 goals and provided seven assists, with three league games remaining.
In City’s 4-1 win over Arsenal in April, the 22-year-old scored his 33rd goal of the season, breaking the record for the most goals scored in a 38-game Premier League season.
Haaland then broke the record for most goals in a Premier League season a week later. His 35th goal, which he scored in City’s 3-0 win over West Ham, earned him a guard of honour at the Etihad.
The 70th minute goal allowed him to surpass Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer who held the record with 34 goals in the 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons respectively when the season comprised of 42 matches.
City are also set to compete in two major finals – the FA Cup on Saturday 3 June and the Champions League on Saturday 10 June against Manchester United and Inter respectively.

The results will be announced on Saturday 27 May.
