The trio were instrumental in yet another successful month for the Club, which saw us reach the semi-finals of the Champions League and continue our pursuit of successive Premier League titles.

Pep Guardiola’s men were in action nine times across three separate competitions in April, winning six, drawing two and losing one of those matches.

In that time, we found the net on an astonishing 23 occasions with our three nominees contributing to over half of those strikes.

Jesus, August’s Player of the Month, finished April as City’s leading scorer, adding seven further goals to his tally in April.

The Brazilian was on target in our 2-2 Premier League draw with Liverpool, while he also got on the scoresheet in a 4-3 triumph over Real Madrid and Leeds United and provided an assist in our 3-2 FA Cup semi-final defeat.

However, his crowning moment this month came when he grabbed four goals and one assist in our 5-1 Etihad Stadium victory over Watford.

Having claimed March’s Player of the Month award, De Bruyne’s stellar displays once again see him shortlisted.

The midfielder was a driving force behind our success across April, contributing a goal or assist in all but one of the matches he featured in.

The Belgian found the net against Burnley, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, while also providing four assists against Brighton, Watford and Los Blancos.

Bernardo completes the list after a typically consistent month for Pep Guardiola’s men.

The Portuguese international’s tireless displays in midfield have translated into two goals and two assists across April.

His quick thinking from a free-kick allowed De Bruyne to open the scoring against Liverpool, and he followed that vital contribution up with goals against the Reds in the FA Cup and, just four days later, against Brighton in the Premier League.

The midfielder also provided what was perhaps the most impressive of our four goals against Real Madrid, rifling an unstoppable drive in at Thibault Courtois’ near-post from a tight angle.

Having become the first City player in history to win a trio of Player of the Month awards between September and November, Bernardo once again deservedly makes the shortlist.
