The Algerian has clinched the award for the fourth time, having enjoyed a stellar month in which he scored in four of our six matches, including a brace against Fulham in the FA Cup and the opener in our triumph over Brentford.
He found the net again against Sporting and claimed an assist, before rounding off his impressive streak with a goal against Tottenham from the penalty spot.
And his purple patch has continued into March with another super strike against Peterborough and a brilliant double in Sunday’s 4-1 Manchester Derby win.
The midfield maestro, who also scooped December’s Player of the Month prize, now has 22 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions this season.
With seven assists too, he has starred on the flank, playing a key contribution in Pep Guardiola‘s side.
Mahrez claimed 66% of the votes, while the rest of the voting was split between Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden.
Congratulations to Riyad and thanks to everyone who voted.
