Elliot Anderson, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden are all up for the October Etihad Player of the Month award.

In a month where City won four matches, there were numerous candidates in contention.

However, it is Anderson, Haaland and Foden who are now up for the public vote.

Here’s a run-down on each of our three nominees.

Elliot Anderson

The midfielder continues to make an impressive start to life at the Etihad and took a lead role during October.

He was outstanding in our 3-0 victory away to Liverpool which began the month and carried it on for the remainder of October.

A number of dynamic performances were topped off by his first City goal in the 5-1 victory over AEK Athens.

Erling Haaland

Our number nine continued his extraordinary goal-scoring streak in another phenomenal month for the Norwegian.

He scored in the Premier League wins over Liverpool and Ipswich – two against the Tractor Boys – and another came away at Aston Villa.

In the Champions League, he scored twice against Paris Saint-Germain to take his total to six goals in five matches in October.

Phil Foden

After starting the month seeing out the third game of a red card suspension, Foden was raring to go upon his return.

Enzo Maresca predicted he would score on his return and was proved correct when he netted in our 3-2 win over Ipswich.

Greek side AEK Athens were then put to the sword as Foden scored a sparkling hat-trick and also claimed an assist for Rayan Cherki’s goal in an emphatic win.
