City ended a tough month with a win at Leicester, and though our only other success came during an impressive 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, our players have been battling hard to find their best form.
Matheus Nunes took the November honours, but who will win December’s vote?
Here are the three nominees you can choose from...
Nathan Ake
Nathan Ake‘s absence for some of December undoubtedly weakened our defence.
The Dutch warrior never gives less than his all and is hugely popular among City fans.
Ake would feature in four games in December - a 2-0 loss to Liverpool, a 1-1 draw with Everton and the wins over Nottingham Forest and Leicester.
Ake has helped the team when not fully fit, such was our extensive injury list, but he has risked his own fitness at times to try and help turn our fortunes around.
A typically solid month for our Netherlands star.
Stefan Ortega Moreno
Our German goalkeeper kept two clean sheets during December.
Coming in for the injured Ederson, Ortega Moreno played six games during a turbulent time for the Club and had shut-outs against Forest and Leicester.
At a time when our defence has perhaps been under more pressure than ever, Ortega has provided a solid last line of defence when called upon.
Will Stefan earn your vote?
Savinho
It’s easy to forget our Brazilian winger is just 20 years old.
There have been some thrilling flashes of the talent he has in a number of games as he settles into life in the Premier League.
In what has been a difficult period for our players, he has never stopped trying and in full flow, he is a sight to behold.
He followed up a starring role against Everton - in which he won a second-half penalty - with a stellar display at Leicester where he scored his first City goal and assisted the second for Erling Haaland.
A strong contender for our December award.
