City’s 52-goal top scorer has enjoyed a quite remarkable first season with his boyhood club.
He has broken almost every Club and Premier League record in the process as he completed an incredible campaign.
Undoubtedly, Erling’s goals have been a major factor in City winning the Champions League, FA Cup and Premier League to complete the Treble.
He achieved his 52 tally in just 53 games, assisting nine more for his team-mates in an outstanding debut campaign in English football.
Pushing our Norwegian star all the way was the supplier of many of his goals, Kevin De Bruyne.
The Belgian finished runner-up in the poll and so won’t be recording a Club record fifth win this season having equalled Richard Dunne’s total of four.
KDB won it in 2017/18, 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22 and will no doubt challenge strongly again next year.
Nathan Ake finished third in our final shortlist - an achievement in itself given so many of our magnificent Treble winners would have been worthy winners.
