Pep Guardiola couldn’t be happier to see Bernardo Silva back to his very best,

The Portuguese playmaker was at the heart of most good things City did in the 3-1 win over Everton, setting one goal up and scoring another himself.

He has been integral in City’s record-breaking winning run and his manager is thrilled to see him back at the top of his game.

“What a player is all I can say,” said Pep when asked about Bernardo.

“Everything he does, he does incredibly well. The year we won a second Premier League title in a row, he was unstoppable and now he is back.

“He is a lovely person and as a manager you love to have players like Bernardo. His Mum and dad will be so proud.”

Asked about City’s incredible 17-match winning run – as well as the new record of 10 Premier League wins since the start of the year, Pep added: “It’s never been done before, it is nice, but like i say many times the next target is Arsenal.

“Today, and tomorrow we enjoy but tomorrow afternoon we will think about Arsenal.

“This was a really tough game against a well organised Carlo team.

“It was difficult for wingers not easy to find space, so we were patient.

“We conceded one goal but not another. Goodison Park is always tough but incredibly satisfied with mentality.

“Lots of wins a row but still lots of desire, playing to get more, three points.

“Like Anfield we worked really hard and today was tough, they defended deep and are a really good team.

“We have a busy schedule and incredible few months ahead; we have Wolves and Southampton in one week as well so everyone will be involved.

“The schedule can get you depressed it’s too many games the guys need rest but it doesn’t matter.

“At the same time it is a beautiful challenge. Carabao Cup final back here for FA Cup and Everton show how tough it will be.

“We don’t look at the calendar just the next one, Arsenal after a few days we then travel to UCL, then West Ham, Wolves, United, non-stop.

“Recover well and try to win the next one. With the spirit we will continue to play this way, in every game we try to win with a good performance makes me feel grateful for these players.”
