Kick-off is set for 15:00 (UK) with Pep Guardiola’s men raring to go in hope of claiming our third Community Shield title under Guardiola since last succeeding in 2019.

After a spectacular end to the season, becoming the first team in English football history to win four successive Premier League titles, City could also set off as we mean to go on with winning their 18th trophy under Guardiola’s reign in this Community Shield match.

2024 Community Shield | Match Preview

Fighting against us this weekend are a United side who ended the Premier League season with two consecutive wins against both Newcastle and Brighton, ultimately leading to their final standing in eighth place.

Saturday’s battle comes over a decade since the Club’s last Community Shield clash with United in 2011 where City suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat.

This will be the Club’s first meeting with United back on Wembley soil since the derby FA Cup Final and the City men seem fit and ready to go after a convincing 4-2 victory against Chelsea in Columbus, Ohio rounding up their US tour.

As usual, our official app is the ultimate place to be kept up to date with all the action across the day from one handy place.

Our Matchday Centre provides in-depth text commentary, stats and analysis from 13:00 (UK) and continues all the way through until all the post-match reaction.

Offering up their expert insight before, during and after the match on Saturday will be former City men Shaun Goater and Andy Morrison in the Matchday Live studio.

As well as absorbing the electric atmosphere Box Park Wembley creates, the show will continue to offer its usual dose of City-related content including expert analysis and humour allowing for a distinctive matchday experience.
