Manchester City will face Newcastle United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Our tie with Eddie Howe’s side will take place at the Etihad Stadium, and will be played across the weekend of Saturday 16 March.

We have faced Newcastle three times this season, beating them home and away in the Premier League, but coming unstuck in the Carabao Cup back in September 2023.

The draw took place ahead of Chelsea and Leeds’ fifth round clash at Stamford Bridge, and was overseen by former Arsenal and City goalkeeper David Seaman.

City reached the last eight with an emphatic 6-2 triumph over Luton, in which Erling Haaland found the net five times at Kenilworth Road.

Newcastle, meanwhile, beat Blackburn Rovers on penalties to reach this stage.

Pep Guardiola’s men have also got the better of Tottenham Hotspur and Huddersfield Town to reach this stage of the competition.

We have won the FA Cup on seven occasions and come into the 2023/24 campaign as the current holders having beaten Manchester United 2-1 in last year’s final.

The exact fixture date and time will be confirmed in due course on mancity.com and our official app.
