Find out who the Scout is backing to star in Gameweek 6 of Fantasy Premier League when City host Nottingham Forest.

Pep Guardiola’s side welcome Steve Cooper’s team to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 23 September, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 (UK).

We enter the fixture as the only team in the division holding a 100% record at the start of the league season thanks to gaining five wins out of five.

In our last assignment, we perfectly began the defence of our Champions League crown with a 3-1 win over Red Star Belgrade at home.

Despite falling behind, second-half strikes from Julian Alvarez (two) and Rodrigo earned us a fine win on the European stage.

Meanwhile, in our previous league outing, we impressively came from behind to record a 3-1 success at West Ham as goals from Jeremy Doku, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland cancelled out James Ward-Prowse’s opener.

Forest, though, have gained four points from their previous two fixtures – including a 1-0 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

And they will certainly make difficult opponents this weekend.

Last time City locked horns with Cooper’s team, the two sides played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the City Ground in February.

And there is plenty for FPL managers to ponder ahead of this weekend.

Read our latest FPL Scout Report below ahead of Saturday 23 September’s 13:30 (UK) deadline.

CITY STAR

Julian Alvarez (£6.8m) has the form to bring in another big haul as City host Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 6 of Fantasy Premier League.

The Argentinean has started every Premier League match for Guardiola’s team this season, returning five assists and two goals.

He continued that output in midweek by scoring twice in a 3-1 win over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.

Alvarez has created a team-high 16 chances this term, while his 16 shots and 11 shots in the box both place second for the champions.

Furthermore, he was a huge success in the corresponding match last season, scoring twice in a 6-0 win.

ONE TO WATCH

Taiwo Awoniyi (£6.6m) is the visitors’ in-form player; the forward has returned in every game in 2023/24, registering three goals and two assists.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze (£6.3m) and Luton Town’s Carlton Morris (£5.5m) are low-owned assets.

The Eagles’ forward has recorded 23 shots this season, more than any other midfielder, ahead of his home clash with Fulham.

Hatters’ forward Morris hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers in Gameweek 6, then has a Double Gameweek 7 against Everton and Burnley.
