Find out who the scout is backing to pick up points in round 20 of Fantasy Premier League.

It’s a double gameweek for City as we travel to Manchester United on Saturday 14 January, before hosting Spurs on Thursday 19 January – leaving managers with plenty to ponder.

And we are looking to bounce back from our Carabao Cup defeat to Southampton when we travel to Old Trafford for the 12:30pm (UK) kick-off.

Last time out against our city rivals, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden both bagged hat-tricks in an electric display which saw us run out 6-3 winners.

But against a Red Devils side looking to extend their eight-game winning streak, three points is far from guaranteed.

Tottenham have been a thorn in City’s side in recent years, with our previous meeting seeing  Antonio Conte’s team record a dramatic 3-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Both ties could prove to be hair-raising occasions, leaving FPL bosses with decisions to make before Friday 13 January’s 18:30pm (UK) deadline.

CITY STAR

Riyad Mahrez (£7.5m) has the form to make a major impact in Gameweek 20 of FPL.

City are among only four sides set to play twice in the upcoming round of fixtures, visiting Manchester United and entertaining Tottenham Hotspur.

After being rested against Southampton in the EFL Cup in midweek, Mahrez looks set to return to Pep Guardiola’s starting XI at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime.

The Algerian heads into the derby clash in his most prolific form of 2022/23.

He has scored four goals and supplied two assists in his five appearances across all competitions since the season resumed.

The 31-year-old produced six double-figure hauls in just 15 starts in the previous campaign, highlighting his potential for huge returns.

With an ownership of just 3%, he is shaping up to be a key differential.

ONES TO WATCH

Marcus Rashford (£7.0m) and Harry Kane (£11.6m) are the form players from City’s pair of opponents.

Rashford has scored in all six of Man Utd’s matches across all competitions since the season resumed, while Kane delivered his season-high 16 points in the previous Gameweek for Spurs.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Kaoru Mitoma (£4.9m) and James Ward-Prowse (£6.2m) could prove overlooked gems among the single-Gameweek players.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Mitoma has scored in each of his last two outings ahead of a home clash with Liverpool.

Southampton’s Ward-Prowse visits Everton on the back of three goals in his last five in all competitions.
