EA SPORTS FIFA has today released its 80-strong shortlist of the best players from the past 12 months.
Ederson, Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo, Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden have all made the cut, with City boasting the joint-best representation of any side to feature a player in the list.

Once again, our Brazilian shot stopper makes the EA SPORTS Team of the Year shortlist after an incredible 2021.
The 2020/21 campaign saw Ederson secure 19 league clean sheets, enough to claim a second successive Premier League Golden Glove award as well as a third domestic title in four years.
And the 28-year-old once again leads the way in the current campaign, with a hugely impressive 11 shutouts and just 13 goals conceded in 20 league appearances so far.
In FIFA Ultimate Team, Ederson holds the joint highest overall among Premier League goalkeepers and is the seventh-highest in his position across the entirety of FIFA 22.

KYLE WALKER
Another incredible year for the England international yielded his third Premier League title and fourth Carabao Cup.
Walker’s pace, power and defensive intelligence have helped him forge a reputation as one of the finest full backs in world football.
And those attributes helped City reach a maiden Champions League final in May 2021, while his exploits at last summer’s European Championships also helped his nation reach a first major international final in 55 years.
Famed for his searing pace, the 31-year-old is rated as the fifth quickest defender in FIFA 22, clocking an impressive score of 92.

Ruben Dias
The Portuguese defender’s impact in his inaugural campaign at the Etihad Stadium was evident from the off.
Dias claimed a Premier League and Carabao Cup double in his debut season, as well as earning a plethora of individual awards including the FWA Footballer of the Year, Etihad Player of the Year, Premier League Player of the Season and Champions League Defender of the Season.
He is the highest rated Manchester City defender in FIFA 22, and the fourth-highest rated in the entire game across his position, jumping an incredible 323 places in the process.

JOAO CANCELO
Cancelo enjoyed an incredible 2021, exemplified by his inclusion in the 2020/21 Premier League Team of the Season.
And the Portuguese international has continued that fine form in the current campaign, managing an impressive ten assists in all competitions by the turn of the year.
Joao’s performances have seen his FUT Item overall increased from 83 to 86, making him one of the most desirable attacking full backs in FIFA 22.
His two goals in five Champions League appearances so far in 2021/22 were also rewarded in FUT with an 89-rated UCL Team of the Group Stage Item.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE
The Belgian midfielder was at his brilliant best across 2020/21, with his inclusion in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year and UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season, as well as a second successive PFA Players’ Player of the Year gong just rewards for his exploits.
After recovering from an early season ankle injury, De Bruyne once again looks back to his best, grabbing six goals and three assists so far in the current campaign.
No stranger to the EA SPORTS Team of the Year, the 30-year-old is in the running for his fourth consecutive TOTY winners medal.
In FIFA Ultimate Team he is the joint highest rated player in the Premier League and the fourth highest rated player in the entire game.

JACK GREALISH
Our new no.10 has hit the ground running since a summer move from boyhood club Aston Villa, grabbing a goal on his Etihad debut and in his maiden Champions League appearance.
Before joining the Club in August 2021, Grealish had been instrumental as Aston Villa captain, and also played an important role in England’s march to the Euro 2020 final.
The 26-year-old’s exploits saw him earn a significant jump to an 84 rated item in game, while he has also been rewarded with an 86 rated ‘Ones to Watch’ item which is a reactive item based on his real world performances.

PHIL FODEN
At just 21, Foden claimed a third Premier League title and fourth Carabao Cup across the first five months of 2021, not to mention the Premier League Young Player of the Season and PFA Young Player of the Year awards.
After overcoming a foot injury sustained during Euro 2020, the midfielder has once again been an important cog in the City machine this season, grabbing seven goals and six assists in just 20 appearances in all competitions.
Reflecting his success on the pitch, Foden has been awarded his highest FIFA rating yet at 84, which has already been surpassed by his recent inclusion in the FIFA 22’s Rulebreakers campaign, which saw an increase to 88.
