FIFA has unveiled the Club World Cup trophy ahead of the tournament in June 2025.

City are one of 32 teams taking part in the competition which will see clubs from all continents compete for the trophy.

A total of 63 games will played across 12 stadiums throughout the United States with Pep Guardiola‘s side qualifying to take part after winning the Champions League in 2023.

Ahead of the competition starting on 15 June 2025, FIFA, in collaboration with luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co, has revealed a brand new trophy that symbolises the future which is inspired by the past.

With a 24-carat gold-plated finish, the trophy has multiple laser-engraved inscriptions all over, telling the story of football’s history, 13 languages, Braille and a world map, highlighting the spread and inclusivity of the global game.

A gold-plated key is used to unlock the moving features of the trophy which transforms from a plate-like structure to an orbital one to show off it’s design even further.

The tournament begins on 15 June 2025 and takes place between the 2024/25 and 2025/26 domestic and European season. The final will be at the MetLife Stadium in New York on 13 July.

It will feature 12 clubs from Europe, six from South America, five from Central and North America, four from Asia, four from Africa and one from Oceania.

And at the start of December, City were drawn against Wydad AC, Al Ain FC and Juventus in Group G of the group stage draw of the competition which took place in Miami.

And at the event, the new trophy was also unveiled in public for the first time with it then set to travel to all the competing teams before the competition begins in the summer.
