The Scout’s verdict for Gameweek 18 of Fantasy Premier League is in ahead of City’s trip to Nottingham Forest.

Pep Guardiola’s side visit the City Ground on Saturday 27 December, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30 (UK).

The Blues lock horns with Sean Dyche’s team looking to win our eighth game in succession in all competitions following our 3-0 win over West Ham last time out.

Forest, meanwhile, narrowly lost to Fulham in their previous assignment and will be aiming to bounce back in the East Midlands clash - meaning we’ll have to be at our very best to collect three points.

With games coming thick and fast during the festive period, FPL managers will be aiming to boost their points returns across the upcoming fixtures, starting with Gameweek 18.

Read our Scout’s latest tips and tricks ahead of Friday 26 December’s 18:30 (UK) deadline.

CITY STAR

Matheus Nunes (£5.4m) is a great option for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers ahead of the festive fixtures.

The Portugal international has now returned in each of the last three gameweeks registering 25 points for his three clean sheets, one assist and four bonus points.

Over the last four gameweeks, Nunes has been City’s most creative defender. He has supplied nine crosses which is only bettered by Rayan Cherki (£6.6m) and Phil Foden (£8.9m).

And he’s created three chances which is only one less than Erling Haaland (£15.0m). In addition, only Haaland and Foden have registered more bonus points in this period.

ONE TO WATCH

Midfielder Elliot Anderson (£5.4m) is Forest’s top scoring player this season. He is a defensive contributions magnet, picking up the additional points over 50% of matches this season.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Everton’s Micheal Keane (£4.7m) and Liverpool’s Florian Wirtz (£8.0m) are two low-owned gems worth considering this gameweek.

Keane has a great run of fixtures over the festive period starting with Burnley. Since Gameweek 11 he has one goal, three clean sheets, five bonus points and eight defensive contribution points.

Meanwhile, Wirtz has registered an assist and three bonus in Gameweek 17 and faces bottom of the table Wolves.
