Pep Guardiola‘s men bounced back from the defeat to Chelsea in fine fashion, with captain Kevin de Bruyne netting the opener from the penalty spot after Raheem Sterling was brought down by Joe Gomez just before the half-hour mark.
Sterling doubled our lead ten minutes later, expertly directing the ball into the net off the post after some brilliant build-up play involving Phil Foden.

Then, seconds before the interval, Foden got his name on the scoresheet, blasting into the roof of the net after being put through accurately by De Bruyne, capping off a fine first 45 minutes.

Guardiola‘s side came racing out of the blocks for the second period, adding a fourth just after the hour-mark after Sterling‘s curling effort was turned into his own net by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
City remained professional to see out the victory and assume the tag of ‘party poopers’!
