After joining City’s youth system at the age of four, the 22-year-old progressed through our academy before signing scholarship terms in 2016, going on to make his first team debut in a Champions League victory over Feyenoord 12 months later.
But it was during our pre-season tour of the United States in the summer before that clash with the Dutch outfit where he began to start turning heads in the first team.
In a friendly against Manchester United in Houston, Texas, he was handed a starting role in our International Champions Cup fixture in front of 60,000 fans. His display certainly impressed Pep Guardiola.
Since then, he has made 182 appearances for the club, scoring 52 times and lifting 11 major trophies in the process.
Silverware aside, he has also established himself as one of world football’s most exciting talents as he prepares to write the next chapter in his illustrious career.
His form for City has also translated to the international stage, with the youngster already claiming 18 England caps, including three appearances in the Three Lions’ EURO 2020 final run.
