Jack Grealish was left 'buzzing' after his goal helped City to a 3-1 victory over Arsenal to take us to the top of the Premier League table.

Kevin de Bruyne opened the scoring before Bukayo Saka levelled from the penalty spot just before the interval.

Grealish struck us back ahead with just under 20 minutes remaining, before Erling Haaland sealed the victory at the Emirates Stadium ten minutes later.

The Englishman, who netted his third goal of the league campaign, was ecstatic after the victory.

“Honestly, It was massive, for me it was a great night,” he said. “That’s what I’ve wanted to do. I feel like I’ve been playing well.  I want to come and affect these big games.

“To score tonight was so important, honestly, I was absolutely buzzing, for myself and the team. I thank the manager really, he’s letting me play a lot and with freedom.

“It’s difficult as I’ve said a lot of times, when I was at Aston Villa, the manager said go and do what you want to find the ball. Here we have so many top players honestly, the manager wants us to make the pitch big.

“I’m really enjoying my football at the moment. I know Gundo and I knew he was going to pass it, he’s so unselfish man, I just knew he was going to pass, him and Kev.

“I’m trying to go back across. As it was coming, it felt like ten seconds, I was going to try and reverse it, but I know [Aaron] Ramsdale from our time at England.

“I was due one of them, a deflection to help it go in. It feels so long. The longer you go without a goal, the more you do. I stayed out yesterday after training with Enzo [Maresca] and we did some finishes and stuff. As soon as I scored I went over to him.

“When I was celebrating I was going to take my top off but I was on a yellow card already!”

The winger revealed that the entire squad understood the importance of a positive result in London and was happy to have come away with the three points, despite not being at our best.

“Yeah, we were saying it today. You get them games where you speak amongst yourself that everyone seems so concentrated on the game. Even myself, I was so in the mood, staying off my phone.

“We had to win today and luckily we did. Honestly we didn’t play that well, I think Arsenal played better than us and were the better team, and I think they had more possession. They had a few chances and stuff.

“To win titles you have to come to stadiums like this and even when you’re not at your best you have to win these games.”
