“We needed a lot of patience. We dominated the first half. I can’t remember them having too many chances and then they got the goal at the end of the first half, which was a blow for us.
“We came out in the second half and we spoke between each other, to move the ball better and not rush things. That’s what we did in the second half.
“We have the best manager in the world and world class players. They’ve dealt with a lot in their careers. We have a lot of experienced players.
“Fair play to Luton, they’re a really good team. At this ground it is difficult. Luckily, we got the job done.”
Pep Guardiola‘s men were without talisman Erling Haaland, who was ruled out of the encounter with a bone stress reaction, as confirmed by the manager prior to the encounter at Kenilworth Road.
Grealish believes the game would have been ideal for the Norwegian, with the manner of the hosts’ defending.
“This is one game where we would have been desperate for him,” he declared.
