Erling Haaland has been named PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month for September.

That means the star striker has won it for the second month running after picking it up in August, too, following a public vote.

He beat off competition from team-mate Kevin De Bruyne as well as Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal), Conor Coady (Everton), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) and Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur).

Our summer signing scored two in two in the Premier League during September - a goal in the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa and the second in a 3-0 top-flight away victory over Wolves.

Across all competitions, Haaland bagged five goals in September.

As well as his Premier League exploits, he also netted a brace in the 4-0 away Champions League victory over Sevilla and continued his scoring in that competition with the winner in our 2-1 home tie against Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland has scored 15 goals in the Premier League so far this term, with 20 in all competitions.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Erling on his latest award.
