Boxers and huge City fans Ricky and Campbell Hatton were our latest guests, sitting down with hosts Rob Pollard and Paul Dickov to talk about their lifelong love for City as well as their own compelling stories both in and out of the ring.
Ricky is a former light-welterweight world champion having fought between 1997 and 2012.
During his legendary career, the Hitman was synonymous with City, wearing sky blue shorts and entering the ring to Club anthem ‘Blue Moon’.
He built up a huge following amongst City supporters, with thousands following his fights from Manchester to all corners of the world as he went toe to toe against the best of the best including Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio.
His 2008 fight with Juan Lazcano was held at the Etihad Stadium in front of 55,000 fans and fellow City mad stars Noel and Liam Gallagher carried his belts into the ring for his bout with Paulie Malignaggi.
23-year-old Campbell is Ricky’s son is still in the early days of his boxing career but already making a big impression of his own and he possesses all of the same enthusiasm for City.
During this eagerly-awaited latest episode, we get all the stories of their lives following City, the highs and lows of life in and out of the ring, all told with an engaging honesty and typical Mancunian sense of humour.
