Just ask 20-year-old Adelah Mohamed Mahmoud, a passionate City fan from Egypt.
The youngster follows us very closely - and for him, there was one significant influence on his decision to support City: Kevin De Bruyne.
“I loved De Bruyne when he was in the Bundesliga and when he went to Manchester City, my love for City developed because of him,” he revealed.
“I began watching City matches closely and because of that, I started to get attached.”

Adelah says the postponement of football due to the COVID-19 pandemic has left a hole in his life.
The ritual of watching games with fellow fans has, for now, subsided.
However, City remains part of his everyday life in Egypt – a source of conversation around which he and his friends can engage.
“I’m very sad because I miss Manchester City games, I miss the fun and excitement,” he admits.
“However, in this time, I talk to my friends about City - they all know well that I adore this club more than anything else.”
The Citizen, who lives over 3500 miles away from the Etihad Stadium in an area of Egypt called Awlad Hamza, situated in the Sohag Governorate, admits Sergio Aguero’s memorable winner against QPR is one of the greatest Premier League moments of all time.
It is moments such as 93:20 that fuel his passion for the Club.
He is desperate to attend a match at the Etihad in the future and says he is constantly encouraging others in his home country to support City.
“I wish to go to Manchester one day and be a factor in the Etihad Stadium because I adore the club greatly,” he says.
“Yes, I encourage others in Egypt to follow City, not because of their success in tournaments, but because of the love we have for the club.”
