The midfielder has joined from Barcelona, signing a one-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s side which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2025.
It represents his second spell with the Club after an illustrious seven-year stay between 2016 to 2023 where he made 304 appearances and lifted 14 major honours before departing for the La Liga outfit last summer.
During his time in Spain, the German made 51 appearances, scoring five goals and registering 14 assists.
This earned him an international call up for EURO 2024 in Germany where he captained his nation to the quarter finals of the prestigious tournament.
Now, the 33-year-old is back at City and will command a fee of £6.5m on FPL as we pursue an unprecedented fifth straight English top-flight title.
