The versatile midfielder has signed from Barcelona on a one-year deal, which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2025 - subject to international clearance.
Across his first spell at the Club, he made 304 appearances and lifted 14 major honours in Manchester while serving us with distinction and class which saw him provide a swathe of unforgettable and iconic moments.
From his two goals in our epic, Premier League-clinching 3-2 win over Aston Villa, to being the first captain in our rich history to lift the Champions League trophy – Gundo was a continual source of jubilation for City and our supporters.
But perhaps his greatest season for the Blues to date came in the 2022/23 term when he led us to the Treble and scored twice in our 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Manchester United at Wembley, including the fastest ever final goal in the competition’s history.
