Jack Grealish says there are too many important matches for City to think further ahead than the next game.

City head to Everton on Sunday at 14:00 (UK) a point clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League with the Gunners ready to pounce on any mistake.

The clash comes between the two legs of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid with the tie all-square after a 1-1 draw in the Spanish capital.

But Grealish says the game against the Toffees is too important for the players not to give it all their focus.

“From the position that we are in now, we are playing every three to four days,” he said. “I know it is an easy thing to say, but for us, all we are doing is just concentrating on the next game, recovering well and then just straight onto the next game.

“I don’t think you can think too far ahead. We can’t even think about the Real Madrid game at the moment because we have such a big game on Sunday against Everton.

“I think we have just got to take each game as it comes and fingers crossed we can have a successful season and keep playing the way we have been.”

As well as our Premier League and Champions League challenges, we also have the possibility of success in the FA Cup with a Wembley clash with Manchester United next month.

Grealish has five goals and 11 assists in all competitions already this season and his hoping he can make more contributions to help secure silverware.

“As an attacking player that is what you want to do, you want to get goals and assists,” he said.

“I still feel like I could get more, but that is obviously something that you want as an attacking player, to be contributing to the team.

“I feel like since the World Cup especially, I have been playing so much better. It has been nice to get into a rhythm because I have been playing all of the time, playing in these big games.

“I am really enjoying it at the moment. I feel fit, I feel confident, so hopefully I can keep that up until the end of the season and chip in with a few more goals and assists to try and win us some trophies.”
