The England star admits that it has been harder than he first imagined and that he had to step out of his comfort zone at times, but feels his game is improving all the time under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola and training alongside the world class talent City have within the squad.

“Yeah, It’s been good and I’ve enjoyed it,” said Grealish.
“It’s been a lot more difficult than I thought it would be in terms of on the pitch and off the pitch, moving to a new city and so on.
“It’s been different, but I knew that it was going to be like that. I knew that it was going to be me stepping out of my comfort zone, but I’ve enjoyed it.
“I think that’s what life’s all about — experiencing different things — and I’ve certainly done that.”
Grealish says Guardiola’s influence on him and his team-mates cannot be understated.
Working under the Catalan was a big draw for the former Aston Villa star and he has relished every minute so far.
“He’s unbelievable - an unbelievable coach,” said Grealish.
“He just loves football. As soon as he steps foot in the building, everything’s just about football and everything’s just for the next game.
“I can’t speak highly enough of him. He’s a brilliant manager who helps the team so much.
“I’ve said at times this season he’s won games by himself, with the way he’s set us up and the tactics he’s given us, and we’ve gone out there and done the job.
“As for training with my team-mates, obviously, it’s been unbelievable.
“I think everyone in the dressing room, apart from two of the lads who have retired from playing for their country, are internationals.
“So, I think that just speaks for itself, how much talent is in the dressing room.”
Grealish admits he lives and breathes the game, but says he needs to handle some things better than he currently does.
He feels he takes it to heart too much if he has a game he’s not happy with and, on the flipside, can be too happy when things go really well.
With that in mind, he says it’s all about finding the right balance.
“I don’t know because I’m still learning that now (dealing with disappointment). I’m still trying to do that now,” he said.
“I’m still trying to deal with when you have a bad game or you get beat in a game; I’m still trying to learn that myself and come to terms with it, because I’ll admit, I’m not the best at it.
“I go home, I don’t really want to speak to anyone, I don’t really want to do anything if I’ve had a bad game or whatever.
“I don’t go on social media or anything. And then sometimes, when I’ve scored or when we’re doing well, I have a thing where I’m too happy!
“So, I’m still trying to balance that out myself and hopefully in the next few years, I can keep on improving with that.
“I’ve had my injuries this season, but I think that’s part and parcel of football. It’s about how you overcome them.
“I don’t think it’s any secret to anyone that I would love to have scored more and assisted more this season, but I feel like I’ve been playing well, even when I haven’t been scoring or assisting.”
Looking towards the final two months or so of the season, Grealish believes City are perfectly positioned to win silverware in the coming weeks.
Though the Blues’ lead has been cut to one point at the top of the Premier League, Liverpool are yet to visit the Etihad and there are quarter-finals in both the FA Cup and Champions League still to come.
“We’re in a good place at the moment; we’re top of the league, we’re in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, and obviously the same with the Champions League as well,” he said.
“So, I think, as a team and myself, we’re in a good place just now.
“Most of the lads here, they’ve won everything, numerous times as well. So, I think that the Champions League is the one that everyone wants this year.
“Obviously, it’s brilliant if we can go and win every competition that we’re in, but I think that being one that we haven’t won yet, I think that’s what we have our eyes on.
“The Champions League quarter-final is obviously going to be a big occasion, something that I can’t wait for — the knock-out stages of this competition is something that you dream of.
“Obviously, I didn’t play against Sporting away because I was injured, and Sporting at home, I was on the bench.
“But I can’t wait for it. It’s going to be a massive occasion.”
