Jack Grealish says he’s achieved a boyhood ambition by lifting the FA Cup with City.

Pep Guardiola’s side claimed the famous old trophy with an enthralling 2-1 victory over Manchester United thanks to an Ilkay Gundogan brace.

It represents the seventh time the Club have won the major honour, but it’s the maiden success in the competition for the England midfielder who started the showpiece in the capital.

And Grealish says it means the world to him to place an FA Cup winners’ medal around his neck.

“It’s something you dream of as a little kid,” he declared.

“We know what it means to play in this and to play in a final. I lost one when I was at Aston Villa and I was desperate to win one.

“The best thing about this team is we have a mix of everything. We have confidence, experienced and younger lads, and so much belief in ourselves and it showed out there.”

The FA Cup triumph follows our epic Premier League title success earlier this term – sealing the domestic Double for Guardiola’s team.

Now, though, we have the chance to make history with a UEFA Champions League final in seven days’ time against Inter in Turkey.

Grealish, however, says he and his colleagues will enjoy winning at Wembley before reigniting the hard work ahead of the European showpiece.

He added: “I’m going to enjoy it of course.

“Then tomorrow it’s straight back into training and recovery ahead of next week.

“I love this team so much, the players and the staff. Hopefully we can have a good week and then get ready for next week.”
