The England international has committed his future to Manchester City until 2026, which will bring about a hugely success ten-year stay at the Club.
After joining Everton from boyhood club Barnsley in 2013, the Yorkshireman developed a reputation as one of the Premier League’s most exciting talents, with his ball-playing abilities winning him admirers across the country.
And it was for this reason that Pep Guardiola secured the 22-year-old’s signature in his first summer as City boss in 2016 and, since that point, Stones has been crucial to our recent success.
Since then, the 27-year-old has turned out 168 times for City and won every available domestic honour, including three Premier League titles.
It would be fair to argue that 2020-21 was Stones’ finest season to date, with the defender earning a spot in the PFA Team of the Year after forging a formidable partnership with Ruben Dias.
And that tremendous success transferred onto an international setting this summer, as the Yorkshireman helped England to reach a first major international final since 1966 at Euro 2020.
