The City defender, speaking after our 1-0 win over Chelsea in our final home game of the season, explained how every medal is special.
“Surreal,” said Stones. “I never thought in my wildest dreams I would get five. I can’t put it into words.
“Every one that I’ve won has been special in a certain way. This one has been so enjoyable with how we played. The different positions and roles.”
Stones, who came on as a substitute for Manuel Akanji in the 57th minute, was asked for his thoughts on his tremendous season with City and the role he has played in midfield.
“I find it hard to speak about myself,” began Stones. “What I try to do over the last three seasons is get consistency. This is key to finding rhythm.
“It’s such a unique position as a centre mid, to have vision and be spatially aware. I’ve had to learn and adapt my personal abilities. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Learning the positions to get the ball. Body shape and timing is so specific.
“The manager has been amazing in getting across what he wants from me in that position and simplified it for me. It’s down to me to implement it and show my ability as well.”

And after lifting the Premier League trophy, Stones and the rest of the City team will now look to turn their attention to the two remaining competitions we are competing in.
And for Stones, the FA Cup is the next trophy he’d like to add to his honours list.
“The next goal is to finish the season well, keep everyone fit and healthy. Going into the FA Cup final, it’s such a special cup for me as an Englishman,” said Stones.
“It’ll be an amazing occasion. Then we can focus on the Champions League final.”
