Julian Alvarez has won yet another major honour.

The 24-year-old played in five of Argentina’s six matches en route to a successful defence of their Copa America title.

Along the way, our man scored twice, including the opener in the semi-final victory over Canada.

It’s just the latest superb campaign from our man, who has already won two Premier League medals, the FA Cup, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, World Cup, Copa Libertadores, Argentine Primera Division and this tournament, back in 2021.

In 2022/23, he became the first man ever to win the European Treble and World Cup in the same season.

Fresh off the back of being City’s most used player in 2023/24, appearing 54 times, Alvarez is now just 90 minutes from yet more silverware.

His tournament began with a goal against Canada in the group stage opener, before playing 73 minutes in the win over Chile.

With qualification already secured, he sat out the final group game against Peru, before coming on as a substitute in penalty shoot-out quarter-final defeat of Ecuador.

Now we’ll see how he fares in Sunday’s final.

Before then, we take a look back at his images from this summer of international football...
