Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez and his Argentina team-mates have claimed the World Cup for the first time since 1986 with a dramatic penalty shootout triumph over France.
It has been a memorable tournament for the City striker and his South American colleagues.
After succumbing to a shock 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia in their opening group match, Argentina and Alvarez have subsequently gone from strength to strength in the ensuing four weeks.
And that culminated in a dramatic 4-2 penalty shootout triumph, having drawn a breathtaking World Cup final 3-3 with France.
