Kalvin Phillips has joined Ipswich Town on a season-long loan.

The 28-year-old will spend the 2024/25 campaign at the newly promoted Premier League side.

After signing from Leeds United in 2022, the midfielder was part of the City squad that earned the historic Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League Treble in his first season.

He was then part of Pep Guardiola’s matchday squad during the the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup success before spending the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United.

Phillips returned to the Club this summer, playing in all four games on our recent tour of the United States of America.

In total, he has made 31 appearances for City across all competitions, scoring once – a penalty in last December’s Champions League win at Red Star Belgrade.

Now he will spend the coming season at Portman Road as Ipswich play top-flight football for the first time since 2002.

Everyone at Manchester City wishes Kalvin well during his time at Ipswich.
