De Bruyne has been nominated for the UEFA Men’s 2020/21 Player of the Year prize and is in contention for the award alongside Chelsea duo N’Golo Kane and Jorginho.
The Belgian midfielder was a tower of strength in helping guide City to a first-ever Champions League final appearance.
Meanwhile, City manager Guardiola is on a three-man shortlist for the UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year award alongside Thomas Tuchel of Chelsea and Italy and former City boss Roberto Mancini.
The boss oversaw a superb run of form during our European campaign, with City winning 11 of 12 games en route to the final.
The latest nominations follow last week’s confirmation that Ederson had been shortlisted for the Goalkeeper of the Season prize, Ruben Dias nominated for Defender of the Season, whilst De Bruyne was again in contention to win the midfielder’s award, which he won in 2019-20.
The winners will be announced when the 2021-22 Champions League group stage draw takes place on Thursday, August 26 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Everyone at Manchester City wishes Pep, Kevin, Ederson and Ruben the very best of luck in the final vote.
