Kevin De Bruyne’s stunning free-kick in our defeat to Chelsea has been nominated for June’s Premier League Goal of the Month award.
The Belgian, described by Pep Guardiola on Thursday as currently the best in the world, has been in sensational form this season, scoring 11 and assisting 17 in the league alone.
And his free-kick against Chelsea was one of his finest to date, a dipping, swerving effort from 25 yards that left Kepa Arrizabalaga with little chance.
He has been nominated alongside Ben Chilwell (Leicester), Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal), Pedro Neto (Wolves), Luka Milivojevic (Crystal Palace), Fabinho (Liverpool), Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United).
