The brilliant Belgian playmaker arrived in Manchester in 2015 and has etched his name in sky blue history.

With 422 appearances, only 12 players have ever worn our shirt more in our long and illustrious history.

With 19 major trophies as a City player, the 33-year-old is one of the most decorated men in our history, too.

That trophy haul has comprised of six Premier League titles, five League Cups, two FA Cups, three Community Shields and success in the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

De Bruyne is also one of just 19 men to have 100 goals for the club, 108 goals to be exact, the first midfielder since Colin Bell to bag a century of goals for us.

He announced ahead of the Manchester United derby that this would be his last season here and he was given a hero’s reception for his final two games – a 3-1 home win over Bournemouth and a 2-0 away triumph at Fulham, results which ensured Champions League football for the Blues next season.
