De Bruyne is leaving City at the end of this season, meaning this evening’s Premier League clash at Bournemouth was his farewell to home supporters.

It was a wonderful occasion on the pitch as City saw off the Cherries 3-1 to put us in a very strong position in our bid for Champions League football next season.

KDB’s name was sung throughout the 90 minutes as he skippered the Blues to the vital victory which put us third in the table with one game remaining away at Fulham.

When the game ended, fans stayed behind as he returned to the field with his family to a guard of honour.

The 33-year-old, who has won 19 major honours with the Club, was then shown a video montage of teammates past and present who told him exactly what he meant to them as well as beautiful tributes from his wife and children.

The midfield maestro was then interviewed by City Studios presenter Natalie Pike as he told supporters just what they and the club mean to him before revealing he’s been informed a statue will be built for him at the Etihad in the near future.

It was a terrific occasion and you can see the best images from the evening below...
