Before playing his final home game against Bournemouth, De Bruyne popped into the venue he’s starred in over the last decade.
But rather than being greeted by thousands of fans like he was against the Cherries, this time he was left alone to tour the ground with only a handful of media staff on hand.
It was a chance for KDB to say a nostalgic farewell to the iconic venue which has played host to many a breathtaking moment.
He posed for photographs in the dressing room and out on the pitch and it’s fair to say there was a sentimental feel in the air as he surveyed his kingdom one final time.
The 33-year-old then conducted his final interview as he sat down with City Studios to look back at the magic moments of a decade of brilliance.
