His standing in the game continues to grow, and over the course of the past three months he’s scooped no fewer than five individual awards in recognition of his superb 2019-20 campaign.
He won the Premier League Playmaker prize back in July having equalled Thierry Henry’s record of 20 assists in a single season, a milestone which had stood for 17 years.
It also saw him become the first player in Premier League history to provide at least 15 assists in three different campaigns, having registered 16 in 2017/18 and 18 in 2016/17.
In August, our fans voted him as our Etihad Player of the Season, beating Riyad Mahrez and David Silva to the coveted award, before being named Premier League Player of the Season 10 days later.
Last month, he became the first male City player to win the PFA Player of the Year prize, which is voted for by professionals across England’s four top divisions.
And on Thursday, he was named as UEFA’s Midfielder of the Season, further recognition of his brilliance across the 2019-20 campaign.
Everyone connected to City is so proud of Kevin and we are delighted to have the opportunity to watch him closely.
Well done, KDB!
