In a game packed with incident, the Gunners led 2-1 when they were reduced to 10 men when Leandro Trossard was shown a yellow card just before half-time.
Bringing on an extra defender to protect their advantage, City looked like we might remain frustrated until John Stones pounced in injury time to take a point that keeps us top of the Premier League.
And the captain says that the Blues always keep going until the final whistle with a belief that has brought so much success in recent years.
“Sometimes you have to throw the kitchen sink at it,” Walker said. “You throw everything at it and see if you can knock down the door.
“That just shows what we’re about – we’re going to keep going until the end and that’s what we’ve done for the last eight seasons since I’ve been here.”

Arsenal lined up with virtually the entire team on the edge of the box in the second half as we piled forward in search of an equaliser.
But the visitors defended manfully and behind them, goalkeeper David Raya was in outstanding form.
In total, City had 28 shots – the second most in Premier League history, behind our own record of 34 set in the famous title-winning game against QPR in May 2012.
“It was always going to be a tight game,” Walker said. “When they go a man down and we’re at home, we need to come out with a win but considering how well they defended – we take our hats off to them, as a defender you appreciate that.
“Having 11 men on the pitch, we probably needed to create more clear-cut chances. Luckily John came up with the goal at the end and we take the point and move on.”
There is nothing new in a side coming to the Etihad with the onus on defending, and Walker says City will keep improving to succeed in these types of games.
“It’s tough,” the defender added. “Being a Manchester City player, we probably face that nine times out of 10 at the Etihad. We should be used to it now.
“Teams come as a low block and Arsenal defended well. We probably need to do more with the crosses and the shooting.
“You have to find a way to make sure you score that goal. Full credit to the lads – we dug in right until the end, and we kept going.”
