Kyle Walker has been a key figure through the most trophy laden period in the history of Manchester City.

The England right-back has lifted 15 major trophies as part of Pep Guardiola’s squad since arriving at the Etihad Stadium in 2017.

Now Walker has extended his contract at City, seeing him remain with the Treble winners until 2026.

Here we’ll take a look at the numbers that demonstrate Walker’s value to the Club…

15

The number that really matters. The trophies we’ve won with Walker in our squad.

Five Premier Leagues, four League Cups, two FA Cups, two Community Shields, a UEFA Super Cup and, of course, a UEFA Champions League.

This is without doubt the most successful period in our Club’s long, distinguished history and Walker has been right at the heart of all of it.

The haul makes him one of the most decorated footballers in the game.

236

Walker has started 236 games since arriving at City in the summer of 2017.

That’s the second most in our squad over that period, with only goalkeeper Ederson (293) ahead of him.

Bernardo Silva (234) and Kevin De Bruyne (233) are hot on his heels, but the fact Walker has started more games than those names demonstrates how highly regarded he is by Guardiola.

158 starts were made in the Premier League while 41 of his 46 Champions League showings for City have come from the off.

In total he’s played 260 times, meaning 24 of his appearances have been from the substitutes bench.

20,974

That’s the whopping total of minutes on the pitch Walker has played at City.

That puts him third in terms of City players since 2017, behind Ederson (26,290) and Bernardo (21,276).

13,975 of those have come in the Premier League and 3,658 in the Champions League with the remainder divided between the FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield and Super Cup.

24

That’s how many goals and assists our right-back has provided in his six seasons in Manchester.

He’s hit six goals - three in the Premier League and one in each of the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.

14 of his assists have been recorded in the top-flight, two in the League Cup and one in the FA Cup and Champions League.

37.3km p/h

That’s Walker’s top speed in the Premier League since records began at the start of the 2021/22 season. As you’d expect, no other player can touch that.

In the Champions League, with performances that kept the likes of Leroy Sane and Vinicius Jr quiet, he reached 35.2km p/h.

91

Clean sheets have made up 39% of Walker’s starts, as City have built a defence to dominate English football and conquer Europe.

His defensive work has been vital as part of that, claiming the ball back from the opposition an average of 5.7 times per 90 minutes on the pitch.

89.1

As well as being crucial defensively, Walker is also key in terms of our build up play.

He averages 66.6 passes per match with an accuracy of 89.1% and 93 touches in total.
