Find out who the Scout is backing for Fantasy Premier League success ahead of City's trip to Liverpool.

The Premier League’s top two do battle at Anfield on Sunday 1 December, with kick-off set for 16:00 (UK).

City are looking to return to winning ways and claw back ground on a title rival in the process having been held to a 3-3 UEFA Champions League draw by Feyenoord in midweek.

The two sides played out a thrilling 1-1 draw in this fixture last season, with John Stones firing the Blues into an early lead from a clever corner routine.

Liverpool would draw level early in the second half through an Alexis Mac Allister penalty, with both teams having to settle for a share of the spoils.

A similarly thrilling contest beckons this weekend, making those FPL selections particularly difficult ahead of Gameweek 13.

Thankfully, the Scout is on hand to provide their expertise below...

City Star

Josko Gvardiol (£6.3m) could be key for key restarting Manchester City’s Premier League season. He faces Liverpool in Gameweek 13 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

The Croatian international is City’s second-highest points scorer, with 50 points. In Fantasy only Virgil van Dijk (£6.3m) and Gabriel (£5.7m) have scored more among defenders.

Gvardiol poses a major attacking threat. Against Spurs in Gameweek 12 he had two shots which was the third most by any player in the game.

His four crosses were the fourth-most and his eight chances created was double that of the next best, Bernardo Silva (£6.4m).

Since Gameweek 6 Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.8m) is the only defender to have bettered Gvardiol’s four attacking returns. Indeed, no defender has attempted more than his 12 shots. He also ranks third among defenders for expected assists this season.

One to watch

Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) is Liverpool’s key asset.

The Egyptian has produced four double-digit hauls in his last five matches.

Differentials

Elsewhere, Joao Pedro (£5.6m) and Dejan Kulusevski (£6.3m) are low-owned gems who have good potential in Gameweek 1.

Joao Pedro returned from injury in Gameweek 11 and since has returned two goals and two assists in just 88 minutes.

Meanwhile Kulusevski has created 33 chances for his teammates this season, more than any other midfielder.
