Our number nine took his top-flight goal tally to 15 after nine matches, scoring the fourth of the afternoon at the Etihad Stadium.
Joao Cancelo opened the scoring after 20 minutes, before Phil Foden doubled the lead shortly after.
Mahrez volleyed in a third after the interval, before Haaland capped off a fine display from Pep Guardiola‘s men with a powerful finish.
The Algerian had nothing but praise for the prolific forward.
“Haaland is part of our team, he is our striker,” he said.
“Like any other striker, if we can find him it’s perfect because he is on fire.
“If not, there are a lot of players and everyone can make a difference. We have to keep going with the momentum.”
Mahrez, who also scored in the midweek Champions League victory over FC Copenhagen, feels that we could have scored more against the Saints.
However, the 31-year-old was pleased with the control that the team showed at the Etihad.
“It was a difficult game, we made it easy by scoring early and then we controlled the game.
