Manchester City will play Liverpool at home in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The last-eight ties will be played across the weekend of Saturday 4 to Sunday 5 April, with confirmation of the fixture’s date and time to follow in due course.

Pep Guardiola’s side secured passage into the quarter-finals with a 3-1 win against Newcastle at St James’ Park in Round Five.

That success followed respective victories at the Etihad Stadium over Exeter and Salford which set up the meeting with Eddie Howe’s side.

An Omar Marmoush brace and Savinho’s cool finish then helped us to the fine success over the Magpies which meant the Blues reached the FA Cup quarter-finals for the eighth successive season.

Meanwhile Liverpool beat Barnsley, Brighton and Wolves to book a place in the last-eight.
