When we go on our travels, so do you and both our men and women’s first team receive fantastic support up and down the country and on the continent.
There is something special about away days.
Whether it’s visiting one of the game’s great cathedrals, winning against the odds or enjoying the camaraderie of travelling with your mates, there is always a story to tell or a memory to cherish.
So, for the latest instalment of #City30, we asked, what is your favourite away day of the Pep Guardiola and Nick Cushing eras?
The pick of the bunch was the crowning moment of the 2018/19 Premier League season, when we sealed the title at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Having made one of the longest trips in our domestic schedule, the travelling City fans were justly rewarded with an emphatic victory in glorious sunshine on the South Coast.
It was a day not without tension and that undoubtedly made the experience all the sweeter.
Guardiola’s side went into the game knowing a shock draw or defeat could potentially hand second-placed Liverpool the title, should they beat Wolves at Anfield.
And when Glenn Murray headed Brighton in front on the half hour mark, the nerves cranked up a notch in the away end.
It lasted only a minute, as Sergio Aguero equalised instantly and from there City roared to victory.
Aymeric Laporte put as ahead before half-time and spectacular goals from Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan sealed the title and meant the party could begin in earnest.
Indeed, it did.
Champagne was sprayed and Guardiola was hoisted into the air by his triumphant players, who paraded the trophy in front of the delighted travelling support.
For the fans, perhaps the most memorable moment will have been the poignant celebrations with Vincent Kompany.
Our inspirational captain, who kept our title hopes alive with an unforgettable strike against Leicester City six days earlier, spent an age celebrating what would prove to be his final Premier League title with the supporters who held him in such high regard.
An unforgettable day.
Monday’s topic: Funniest moment...
So often we marvel at skill involved in the Beautiful Game, but occasionally something happens on the pitch to make us laugh.
And for the next topic of our #City30 marathon, we want to know what is the funniest or most bizarre thing you’ve seen out on the pitch during Guardiola and Nick Cushing’s time in charge.
