Manchester City eased into the FA Cup fourth round with a convincing 3-0 win over Birmingham City at the Etihad Stadium.

City went ahead through Bernardo’s emphatic eighth minute volley and the Portuguese midfielder doubled our lead seven minutes later when he tapped into an empty net to finish off a slick passing move.

Foden had already had a penalty appeal overturned by VAR when he struck, firing into the bottom corner from the edge of the area to give City a commanding half-time lead.

Guardiola took full advantage and introduced Liam Delap, Felix Nmecha and Taylor Harwood-Bellis in the second half, giving the Academy graduates valuable first team experience as City closed out the tie.
