In focus: Leroy Sane

The 2019/20 campaign has been one of recovery and iron-willed determination for Leroy Sane.

Our German international suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury to his right knee back in August’s Community Shield victory over Liverpool.

There were initial fears that Leroy could potentially be sidelined for the whole campaign but, under the careful tutelage of the City medical and backroom team and thanks to his focus, commitment and professionalism, Sane made a welcome return to training in January.

Leroy then further stepped up his comeback by starring for our EDS side in our 4-2 PL 2 victory at Arsenal late last month.
