The Scout’s verdict for Gameweek 27 of Fantasy Premier League is in as City host Manchester United.

Pep Guardiola’s side welcome our city rivals to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday 3 March for a 15:30 (UK) start.

The hosts are aiming to extend our unbeaten run in all competitions to 19 straight matches during the clash with Erik ten Hag’s team.

Last time out, we secured passage into the FA Cup quarter-finals with an emphatic 6-2 victory at Luton Town as our defence of the historic trophy continued.

But, as history depicts, derbies are often unpredictable, so we’ll have to be at our scintillating best to collect three points this weekend.

Our last meeting with Manchester United saw the Blues record a fine 3-0 victory at Old Trafford in October’s reverse fixture.

Erling Haaland scored either time of half-time before Phil Foden finished the scoring with 10 minutes remaining.

And, as the season heats up, there could be a number of decisive decisions FPL managers need to make to maximise their points return this weekend.

Read our latest scout report below ahead of Saturday 2 March’s 13:30 (UK).

CITY STAR

Phil Foden (£8.1m) will be hoping history repeats itself in this weekend’s derby as Manchester City host Manchester United in Gameweek 27 of Fantasy Premier League.

The England international scored a hat-trick in a 6-3 win in the corresponding fixture last season to collect a bumper 19-point return.

He has enjoyed further success against our city rivals this term, with a goal in a 3-0 win at Old Trafford.

Foden has also been the champions’ top-scoring player in Fantasy recently, with four goals, an assist and 45 points in the last six matches.

ONE TO WATCH

Alejandro Garnacho (£5.0m) is the visitors’ form attacker, with two goals and an assist in his previous four.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Leon Bailey (£5.6m) and Rodrigo Muniz (£4.5m) are low-owned assets who can profit from favourable fixtures.

Aston Villa’s Bailey faces Luton Town on the back of two goals and three assists in his last five outings.

Fulham frontman Munoz has three goals and 21 points in his last two home matches ahead of a visit from Brighton & Hove Albion.
