City’s popular Matchday Live show has a host of new, exciting guests scheduled to appear in our upcoming editions.

The show, which offers you comprehensive coverage via mancity.com and our official app on game days, has booked some entertaining, outspoken and knowledgeable pundits stretching across the remainder of 2023.

Iconic Spurs skipper Ledley King will be with us for our meeting with Ange Postecoglou’s side next week and is renowned as one of the greatest-ever defenders to pull on the white jersey.

Nicknamed ‘The King’ by supporters, he was a one club man who starred for Spurs for seven seasons and helped them win the 2008 League Cup.

Then, we have Emile Heskey coming into the studio for the Villa v City game on Wednesday 6 December, kick-off 20:15 (UK).

Heskey, one of the most powerful strikers to grace the Premier League, made his name at Leicester where he won the League Cup twice before joining Liverpool for £11m.

There, he earned honours in the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup in the same season as well as the Super Cup the following campaign and a further League Cup triumph two seasons later.

Following spells at Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic he joined Martin O’Neill’s Villa where he led the line for three seasons alongside John Carew and Gabby Agbonglahor while he also starred for England, earning 62 caps for the Three Lions.

Discussing City v Palace will be Ian Holloway, one of football’s most entertaining characters.

‘Olly’ was due on the show for the game between the two clubs in March 2023 but tested positive for COVID on the eve of the match. So it’s great to have him back on the roster for the Saturday 16 December clash, kick-off 15:00 (UK), where he’s bound to offer his forthright views on the action.

Phil Jagielka, the former Everton and England man, will join the conversation for our trip to Goodison Park on 27 December.

He will resume his partnership with Joleon Lescott, the pair who were together at the heart of the defence during some of the Toffees’ brightest days in the modern era between 2007 and 2009.

Finally, this year, we are delighted to announce that Neil Warnock, another one of football’s great personalities, will join us for the City v Sheffield United match.

The game is on Saturday 30 December, kick-off 15:00 (UK).

Warnock, of course, made his name at Bramall Lane, spending eight years as manager of United, between 1999 and 2007 in which he led the Blades to the Premier League.

If you can’t make it to any of these encounters, make sure you tune into our Matchday Live show where our pundits offer their expert views before the game, at half-time and post-match.

With our array of star talent, they’re not to be missed!
