After a week of international duty which paused the league season for our men, EDS and Under-18s, Club football is back this weekend with lots of exciting matches.

Meanwhile, Gareth Taylor’s squad continue their pre-season preparations ahead of the start of the Barclays Women’s Super League next month.

MONDAY

Luxembourg U21 v ENGLAND U21 | U21 Euro 2027 qualifying | 19:45 (UK)

City’s newest Croatian duo are in action again for their national team on Monday following their 5-0 win over Latvia on Friday.

Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol will be looking to aid Croatia in a win which would keep them within the top two qualifying places of Group D.

Later in the evening, Portugal also have an important EURO qualifying match as they host Luxembourg with Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva in their squad.

A handful of City’s youth could also feature in the England Under-21’s opening qualifying game against Luxembourg. Rico Lewis was included in Lee Carsley’s squad alongside City loanees Callum Doyle, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Josh Wilson-Esbrand, James McAtee and Liam Delap.

TUESDAY

A plethora of City players will feature for their respective nations on Tuesday evening, the final day of the international break.

Rodrigo will be looking to aid Spain in another qualifier win over Cyprus while Erling Haaland could feature for Norway against Georgia at the same time.

Manuel Akanji and Switzerland will be looking to extend their lead at the top of Group I with a win over Andorra.

Kyle Walker, Phil Foden and Kalvin Phillips return to action for England also as they face Scotland for a friendly at Hampden Park.

Jeremy Doku and Belgium also kick off at 19:45 (UK) as they host Estonia.

And finally, Julian Alvarez will be involved in Argentina’s game against Bolivia as they look to maintain their 100% win record in their World Cup qualifying campaign.

WEDNESDAY

Overnight in the UK, Ederson will likely feature in Brazil’s second game of the international break as they take on Peru.

FRIDAY

It’s an action-packed Saturday for City, with three of our four teams all featuring away from home.

First, Gareth Taylor’s squad continue to up the intensity of pre-season with a trip to WSL compatriots Everton for a friendly.

Shortly after that game has begun, Ben Wilkinson’s Under-18s will be looking to extend their winning form against Middlesbrough following a 2-1 win and 6-0 win over Everton and Blackburn Rovers respectively.

A detailed match report for both games will be available on mancity.com and on the official app shortly after both matches have concluded.

Finally, Pep Guardiola’s squad travel to London to take on West Ham, who currently sit fourth after four games.

A win for City would extend our lead at the top of the table as the only team to have not dropped any points in the 2023/24 campaign thus far.

Kick-off is at 15:00 (UK) with our Matchday Centre getting under way two hours prior to kick-off.
