The Blues began our 15th consecutive season in European football’s premier competition with a 2-0 win over the Italian champions.

Erling Haaland’s 50th Champions League goal - the fastest-ever player to the total - and Jeremy Doku’s strike on 65 minutes sealed the success.

But it was also a special night at the Etihad Stadium as we welcomed back Club legend Kevin De Bruyne for the first time since his switch to Antonio Conte’s side.

It means we have now recorded back-to-back wins in all competitions since the end of September’s international break as we started our pursuit of the Champions League crown perfectly.
